Balance & Walking Disorders Physiotherapy — Home Visits Across Delhi NCR

MPT & BPT qualified team · Home physiotherapy across Delhi NCR · Chiropractic care available

Unsteadiness, frequent stumbling or a fear of falling can come from many sources — inner-ear (vestibular) problems, muscle weakness, joint pain, neurological conditions such as stroke or Parkinson's, or simply the natural changes of ageing. Physiotherapy addresses balance and walking disorders through a structured program of gait and balance assessment, vestibular rehabilitation, strength and proprioception training, and practical fall-risk reduction — so patients can move through their day with more confidence and safety, whatever the underlying cause.

What Is Balance & Walking Disorders Physiotherapy?

Balance and walking disorders cover a wide range of problems — dizziness, unsteadiness on uneven ground, a shuffling or slowed gait, frequent near-falls, or reduced confidence walking outdoors. The cause can be neurological (stroke, Parkinson's, peripheral neuropathy), vestibular (inner-ear dizziness), musculoskeletal (weak hips, painful knees, joint stiffness), or simply age-related loss of strength and reaction time. Physiotherapy identifies the specific contributing factors through a detailed gait and balance assessment, then builds a program of vestibular rehabilitation, proprioception and coordination training, targeted strength work, and — where needed — assistive-device training to restore safe, confident mobility.

At Renoxa Physiotherapy, we provide expert home physiotherapy for balance and walking disorders across Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and the wider Delhi NCR region. Sessions in the home also let us assess real fall hazards and walking surfaces directly, so safety recommendations are practical and specific — with chiropractic care available where appropriate to improve joint mobility and reduce stiffness that affects gait.

What Our Patients Say

My mother was terrified of falling after a couple of near-misses at home. The therapist assessed her walking, adjusted the furniture layout, and gave her exercises that genuinely rebuilt her confidence — she walks unassisted around the house now.

I'd been dealing with dizzy spells for months and no one could explain why. The vestibular exercises made a real, noticeable difference within a few weeks and I finally feel steady again.

After my knee surgery I was scared of stairs and uneven ground. The home sessions rebuilt my strength and taught me to use my walker properly until I didn't need it anymore.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes balance and walking problems?
Causes range from inner-ear (vestibular) disorders and neurological conditions like stroke or Parkinson's, to muscle weakness, joint pain, reduced sensation in the feet, or simply age-related decline. Our assessment identifies which factors are contributing so treatment targets the actual cause, not just the symptom.
Do I need a scan or diagnosis before starting physiotherapy for balance issues?
Not necessarily. A physiotherapy assessment can identify musculoskeletal and functional contributors directly. If we suspect a medical cause needing further investigation — such as a cardiac or neurological issue — we'll refer you to the right specialist alongside starting safe, supportive therapy.
Can physiotherapy actually reduce my risk of falling?
Yes. Structured balance and strength training, gait retraining and home hazard modification are well-supported ways to reduce fall risk, especially in older adults. We also teach safe strategies for stairs, uneven surfaces and getting up from a fall.
Do you help with dizziness (vertigo), not just walking difficulty?
Yes. Vestibular rehabilitation exercises are a core part of our balance program and are effective for many common causes of dizziness, including benign positional vertigo. We assess whether your symptoms are vestibular, neurological or musculoskeletal before building your plan.
Do you provide cane or walker training at home?
Yes. We assess whether an assistive device is appropriate, help fit and adjust it correctly, and train safe, efficient use around real stairs, thresholds and furniture in your own home — which is far more useful than practicing in a clinic alone.
Is this only for elderly patients?
No. While balance and fall-risk programs are common for older adults, we also treat younger patients recovering from surgery, injury, vestibular disorders or neurological conditions who need to rebuild coordination and confident, safe movement.
