Ankle Pain Physiotherapy — Home Visits Across Delhi NCR

MPT & BPT qualified team · Home physiotherapy across Delhi NCR · Chiropractic care available

Ankle pain most often follows a sprain, but it can also build up gradually from tendon overload or arthritis. The common problem after an ankle injury is that swelling settles while strength and balance never fully return, which is why repeat sprains are so frequent. Physiotherapy restores full movement, rebuilds the calf and foot muscles, and retrains balance so the joint is genuinely stable again.

Home visits meant I did not have to hobble across the city right after the sprain. Recovery felt much more manageable that way.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does an ankle sprain take to heal?
Mild sprains often settle within two to four weeks, moderate ones take six to eight. Full strength and balance take longer than pain relief, which is why rehabilitation continues after the ankle stops hurting.
Why does my ankle keep giving way?
After a sprain, the position sense in the joint is often impaired even once the ligament heals. Balance and strength retraining restores that control and is the main way to prevent repeat sprains.
Do I need an X-ray for ankle pain?
Not in most cases. Imaging is indicated where a fracture is suspected — for example if you cannot bear weight or there is bone tenderness at specific points — which your clinician will check for.
Should I use ice or heat for ankle pain?
Ice is generally more useful in the first couple of days after an acute injury to manage swelling. For longstanding stiffness, gentle heat before exercise is often more comfortable.
