Hip Pain Physiotherapy — Home Visits Across Delhi NCR

MPT & BPT qualified team · Home physiotherapy across Delhi NCR · Chiropractic care available

Hip pain can come from the joint itself, the surrounding tendons and bursae, or be referred from the lower back. Because the hip carries load with every step, pain here quickly affects walking, stair climbing, sitting for long periods and sleeping on that side. Physiotherapy identifies which structure is actually irritated, then combines hands-on treatment with progressive strengthening of the glutes and deep hip muscles to unload the joint.

What Is Hip Pain?

Hip pain can come from the joint itself, the surrounding tendons and bursae, or be referred from the lower back. Because the hip carries load with every step, pain here quickly affects walking, stair climbing, sitting for long periods and sleeping on that side. Physiotherapy identifies which structure is actually irritated, then combines hands-on treatment with progressive strengthening of the glutes and deep hip muscles to unload the joint.

What helped most was understanding why my hip was hurting. Once the glute strengthening kicked in, the night pain settled down considerably.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hip pain always arthritis?
No. In younger and middle-aged adults, tendon problems around the hip and referred pain from the lower back are far more common. A clinical assessment distinguishes between them before treatment begins.
Should I stop walking if my hip hurts?
Usually not. Complete rest tends to weaken the muscles supporting the hip. Your physiotherapist will adjust distance, surface and pace so you stay active within a comfortable range.
Can physiotherapy delay the need for hip replacement?
For many people with early to moderate hip arthritis, strengthening and load management meaningfully reduce pain and improve function, which can postpone surgery. It cannot reverse joint damage that is already advanced.
Why does my hip hurt more at night?
Lying on the affected side compresses the tendons on the outside of the hip. Adjusting sleeping position and using a pillow between the knees often helps while the tendon settles.
